MCWH works together with immigrant and refugee women, community organisations, health practitioners, employers, communities and governments to build and share knowledge, achieve equity and improve health and well-being for immigrant and refugee women.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To provide administration and research support to the Executive Director.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Up to 3 years’ experience in an administration and/or research assistant role;
  • Demonstrated understanding of administrative functions and office practices;
  • Proven skills in using word processing, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality;
  • Excellent ability to exercise initiative and discretion;
  • Highly developed customer service skills;
  • Excellent research, investigative and analysis skills.

Highly Desirable

  • Fluency in a relevant community language.

Special Requirements

  • Some weekend and other evening work may be required from time to time
  • Rural or interstate travel may be required from time to time
  • Hybrid working from home/office arrangement can be negotiated.

Period of appointment

Ongoing (part time), pending successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.
