The Opportunity at MCRI:

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join a multidisciplinary research group working on therapeutic development for childhood heart disease. The applicant will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team using human pluripotent stem cell and animal models to understand the causes of and develop innovative treatments for childhood heart diseases. The applicant will be expected to design and conduct research experiments, develop independent lines of investigation, supervise junior team members and prepare results for publication. Specific projects will be developed in consultation with successful applicant.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collecting high quality data and data analysis.
  • General laboratory organising and maintaining.
  • Conducting continuous maintenance of neat and orderly records, lab books and data storage.

About You:

  • Relevant PhD/Doctoral qualification.
  • Potential to be competitive for own funding.
  • Building a reputation at a National level as an outstanding researcher and is working towards building an international reputation.
