We are looking for a candidate who is ready to take the next step in their career as our Education Project Officer to join the Genomics in Society team.
The Genomics in Society overarching research aim is to promote understanding of genetics and genomics, and inform evidence-based practice, among families, health professionals and the community.
A key part of your role will see you working with the multidisciplinary Acute Care Genomics project team to implement a national rapid genomic diagnosis program for critically ill children. You will educate the acute care clinical workforce by developing and facilitating a series of tailored genomic education initiatives delivered online and/or face-to-face.
This is an opportunity to work with a supportive and innovative team of experienced individuals who have an international reputation in research, development, implementation and evaluation of genetic and genomic education.
As this role will see you creating and promoting content to educate a diverse audience it is essential you have excellent communication and writing skills.
You will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders such as academics, medical professionals and administrators; therefore you have a proven ability to build engagement and foster relationships to ensure key objectives are met.To be successful in this role you will have previous experience as a learning or instructional designer in the research space and familiar with the complexities of teaching genetics and genomics. Ideally you will have a science degree or education experience in a relevant setting.
