Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement is an independent NFP, working to address issues associated with grief and bereavement. Its mission is to build the capacity of individuals, organisations and communities in order to enhance well-being following adverse life events.

Reporting to the CEO, the Manager - Bereavement Counselling and Support Service will be responsible for overall management of all bereavement counselling and support services. In this strategic leadership and business management appointment, you will provide strategic direction, operational management of service delivery staff, foster continuous quality improvement, and effectively manage resources and revenue.

For this important role you will need an appropriate qualification in Social Work or Psychology, with extensive experience and achievement at management level in a complex human service organisation (or equivalent), and proven organisational and administrative capabilities. Experience in working with bereavement support would be well regarded but is not essential. The role is .8 EFT but has potential for further growth.
