We require a contract bookkeeper to assist our small team and help contribute to making a positive difference to the lives of women and their children escaping domestic violence.

Ideally you will have a high attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly organised and self motivated.

This role requires a very high level of confidentiality and diplomacy, and we will require you to follow our code of conduct where we are all respected, valued and supported.

The major requirements of the role are as follows:

  • Approx 8 to 12 hours per week (incl Tues)
  • Working from our Naremburn office
  • Experience with Xero
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
  • Experience with eTapestry CRM highly regarded
  • Reconciliations on an ongoing basis:
    • Multiple bank accounts
    • Multiple debit card accounts
    • Petty cash
    • Keeping record of donated gift card usage
  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Payment of bills through NAB online banking
    • Issuing non automated receipts
  • Accounts Receivable including raising invoices:
    • Accounting for donations received
    • Accounting for grants received
  • Liaison with Accountant
  • Previous experience with a not for profit desirable

This description is a broad outline of the duties involved in the role, which from time to time will include other tasks. Future expansion of the role is expected.
