PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The primary duty of the Childcare Worker is to provide care and supervision for babies and children while their parent is accessing The Daisy Centre services.

DUTIES
- Provide children with educational and interactive activities whilst maintaining a child safe, supportive, and clean environment
- Supervise groups of mixed children ranging from infants to school age
- Comply with COVID safe practices per The Daisy Centre policies and procedures
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of developmentally appropriate programs for small group of pre-school age children
Qualifications / Training – Essential
- Completed AQF Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
- Police Check
- Mary’s House Services employs women only; its exemption number is A140/2012
Experience – Essential
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a formal childcare role
Experience – Desired
- Working in trauma informed, strengths based and client centred environment
Skills / Competencies – Essential
- A service-oriented approach to the role
- A positive and energetic outlook throughout your interactions with children, their parents, and your peers
