Marymead is a well-respected, community based, not-for-profit organisation that has provided a range of support services to children, young people and their families since 1967. Marymead now operates throughout the southern and western regional areas of NSW as well as the ACT with offices in Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Young, Moruya and Canberra. Marymead is seeking to fill the position outlined below.
Our Permanency Program is looking to recruit a permanent full time Permanency Case Manager located in our Canberra office. Permanency Case Managers work with children, young people, siblings, foster carers, birth families and significant others, to support, stable, positive and sustainable permanent placement options. They are responsible for delivering therapeutic case management that ensures all domains of a child or young person’s life are addressed and supported and birth families are supported to improve their overall wellbeing and functioning. Where possible, permanency goals are focused towards family preservation and/or restoration, however where this is not possible, permanency goals look to support adoption, guardianship or long term foster care.
This position involves working as part of a staff team and direct contact with clients. The position involves complex case management, practical support to children, young people, carers and families and detailed reporting requirements. Supports to clients are provided both within home, office and community based settings and will, when necessary, requires work outside of core business hours to ensure we meet the immediate needs of our children, young people and families.
