Marymead is a well-respected, community based, not-for-profit organisation that has provided a range of support services to children, young people and their families since 1967. Marymead now operates throughout the southern and western regional areas of NSW as well as the ACT with offices in Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Young, Moruya and Canberra. Marymead is seeking to fill the position outlined below within our Family and Relationship Services Unit.
The Coordinator, Childrens Contact position will report directly to the Post Separation Services Team Leader and is responsible for the Children’s Contact Program at the ACT (Canberra) site. This is a permanent full-time position and involves the leadership and co-ordination of staff, resources and activities in order to deliver a service that meets and exceeds contractual and statutory obligations.
The Children’s Contact Program provides supervised/supported contact and changeover services to high conflict families post separation, and supported contact to children who are living in foster care, or with an extended family member (kinship care), where child protection orders exist. The Family Law program is funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Out of Home Care (OOHC) program is provided on a ‘fee for service’ basis in the ACT, operating six days a week.
The Coordinator is an integral role within the Children’s Contact program, responsible for leading a team of Family Workers and the Shift supervisors, providing exceptional support to families experiencing the challenges of post separation or child protection intervention. Part of the role is to assist in the allocation of clients, track KPI data, support the implementation of policies and procedures and other management duties as required.
