As part of the Corporate Services Group of Marymead, the Communications and Fundraising Team provides a range of support services to Marymead programs including fundraising event management, corporate sponsor management, grant and tender management, internal and external business communication, stakeholder engagement, media liaison, brand development, website management.

Working as an integral member of the Communications and Fundraising Unit, the Communications and Fundraising Officer works closely with the Communications and Fundraising Coordinator to ensure the efficient and sustainable marketing, communications, event management, and fundraising for the organisation which in turn assists in achieving the organisation’s strategic objectives, values and outcomes.

As the Communications and Fundraising Officer you will support the Communications and Fundraising Coordinator:

  • To ensure the accuracy of the donor program, relating to Marymead’s fundraising and donor database;
  • To oversee the production of suitable promotional material and assist with event promotion and management of events;
  • With internal and external communications including overseeing the design and production of the Annual Report;
  • To ensure relevant promotional collateral is current and presented in a professional manner;
  • To ensure the accuracy of the Marymead and related websites, including the listing of upcoming events, activities and employment opportunities;
  • In actively promoting Marymead Programs, services and upcoming events and activities on social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter;
  • Monitor activity on social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter in relation to Marymead, and after consultation with the Support the Communication and Fundraising Coordinator, respond accordingly;
  • Provide support and assist in the promotion and awareness of Marymead Programs and services including overseeing the coordination of expos and seminars across ACT and NSW sites;
  • Assist with the development of television advertisements and campaigns promoting Marymead and its programs and services as required;
  • Assist with the promotion of Marymead’s programs and services and other reasonable duties as requested.

You will ideally have a tertiary qualifications in marketing or PR, or significant relevant experience in a similar role. This role is based in our Narrabundah office and is a permanent part time position.

Employment at Marymead is subject to a 3 month probationary period with the option of extension.
