Marymead is a well-respected, community based, not-for-profit organisation that has provided a range of support services to children, young people and their families since 1967. Marymead now operates throughout the southern and western regional areas of NSW as well as the ACT with offices in Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Young, Moruya and Canberra. Marymead is seeking to fill the position outlined below.

About the Carer Development Role

Working as an integral member of the Marymead Permanency Program and reporting directly to the Carer Development Team Leader, the Carer Development role is responsible for promoting Marymead services and delivering high quality carer support to new and existing carers.

This is a full time, 12 month maximum term position, working as part of a team and involves direct contact with clients (carers, children and young people). The position involves undertaking numerous carer development activities & tasks including carer recruitment and intake, ongoing carer support as well as carer reviews and assessments.

Qualifications, certifications and security clearances

Essential

• Diploma of Community Services (minimum qualifications)
• Step by Step registration (or willingness and ability to obtain registration)
• Shared Lives Trainer (or willingness and ability to obtain registration)
• ACT Working With Vulnerable People/ NSW Working with Children Clearance (as required)
• Child Protection Records Check
• Unrestricted Driver's Licence

Desirable

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology or similar
