Marist180 is now seeking applications from an experienced, analytical and collaborative Intake and Referrals Coordinator to lead the referral process of young people entering Marist180 services.

The position

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this role is a key contact for external stakeholders who make referrals to Marist180 services. You will ensure referral data is processed on time and tracked effectively, facilitating communications to and from stakeholders monitoring referral status and program occupancy. Where additional information regarding referrals is required to support development of a Client Risk Assessment, Client Matching Report, or Risk Management Plan, the Coordinator will facilitate the request and supply of required information. The Coordinator will provide support and guidance to the Intake and Referral Officers.

Primary accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and managing the referral system through which clients enter services
  • Primary contact for the Central Access Unit under the ITC Program
  • Collecting and managing data, maintaining records, and reporting on referral volumes and outcomes
  • Managing and analysing referral and occupancy meta-data to identify opportunity for process improvement in referral system
  • Delivering daily briefings on the status of cases in the intake and referral pipeline in ITC Panel and as required
  • Managing Intake and Referral Officers ensuring all deliverables are produced on time and to required standards 
  • Contributing to the matching and assessment process required for each service or program
  • Proactively compiling documentation or facilitating meetings to ensure all required information is available to inform the decision to accept a referral
  • Ensuring referral outcomes produced by Program Managers, Senior Therapeutic Specialists and Area Managers are finalised and communicated to referring stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to increase acceptance of referrals without compromising care standard quality or introducing risk to clients, employees, the community, or the business

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Human or Community Services, Mental Health or similar
  • Demonstrated operational or process management experience
  • Strong analytical and data management abilities
  • Demonstrated experience managing others
  • High level of active listening, negotiation and verbal communication skills
  • Computer, literacy & numeracy skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Working with Children Check
  • Clear National Criminal History Check
  • Unrestricted NSW Driver’s License (Minimum Green Provisional 2 License)
  • Ability to work in Australia
