The opportunity

Our Community Strengthening and Maternal and Child Health Teams are seeking applications from suitably experienced and appropriately qualified Family Wellbeing Workers to provide a high-quality service designed to meet the needs of residents experiencing family or domestic violence, whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in their care.

As our Family Wellbeing Workers, you will collaborate closely with the Team Leaders Community Strengthening or the Maternal and Child Health Service, to provide innovative and diverse approaches that ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable residents impacted by family or domestic violence. Both Family Wellbeing Worker positions will work collaboratively to ensure consistent advice and support is provided to families within our municipality.

We are currently recruiting two Family Wellbeing Workers with practical clinical experience, as follows:

  • 1x permanent part-time position working 15.2 hours per week within our Maternal and Child Health Team.
  • 1x temporary part-time position working 22.8 hours per week until December 2021 within our Community Strengthening team.

Council may choose to consolidate both above-mentioned positions to create a temporary full-time role until December 2021 for the right candidate. Hours of work will then revert to 15.2 hours per week on a permanent part-time basis in January 2022, unless otherwise agreed and extended.
