About the role

We are seeking multiple support workers to join a new team to assist an individual to live her best life and actively participate in her local community. We have more than one casual position with flexible hours available.

Essential skills/knowledge

  • Embody Mamre’s values of integrity, justice, community, hospitality and simplicity
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a team environment alongside parents and carers
  • Available to work on call for multiple shifts across a 24/7 roster
  • Emotionally and physically resilient
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities
  • Ability to remain calm when/if complex situations arise and respond in accordance with training, protocols and directions
  • A desire to build a positive relationship with the supported person you will be working with
  • Willingness to supervise with personal care and hygiene
  • Openness to learn and use the support persons preferred method of communication

Qualifications/Licences

  • Relevant qualifications and/or relevant experience
  • Current blue and yellow card
  • Current first aid and CPR qualifications
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • COVID-19 infection control training
