Are you interested in supporting people to enact their right to self-determination and decision making? Are you skilled at bringing groups of people together and facilitating them to work towards ambitious and shared goals? Do you have experience supporting people with complex communication access needs? If this is you, and you are seeking casual project work for about two years, we want to hear from you.
This role is part of the Decision Making Possibilities (DMP) project that is enabling people with complex communication access needs to increase their capacity to make their own decisions. As a member of the DMP practice group, people in a Network Facilitator role will work directly with one or more people who need active support with their communication and decision making. The focus of the role is to create and facilitate a network of Decision Supporters around each person. Decision Supporters will actively engage in learning about and implementing what it takes to support and enable the person’s decision making. Training and support to Network Facilitators and Decision Supporters will be provided as part of the project.
The project plan anticipates that achieving the outcomes of this position will require approximately 6 hours/month plus 2hrs training/month ongoing.
Shortlisting will commence immediately. If you are shortlisted for the role, as part of the selection process you will need to be available for some training and a group interview.
