Graphic Designer

mainly music Australia

A new position exists with mainly music, to assist our ministry internationally, as a graphic designer.

If you’d like to join an exciting team, in an exciting time, we’d love to have you apply. You’ll need to have graphic design training and bring a portfolio of your own work to the appointment. We want our material to continue to be vibrant and stand out. Our need is for brochures, advertisements and fliers, forms and manuals (that accompany music for sessions), social media collateral, play prompts, music props, and more. We have a known brand and style and we love it! However, that’s not the ending point. We’d love to have you tweak some of our publications so that we become even better known amongst families with young children, churches, and gatherings of believers around the world. You’ll need to be comfortable getting to know the style of Aotearoa New Zealand, ensuring you contribute to our organisation embracing the bicultural heritage.

We’re an organisation forever looking around the corner and over the horizon. We love to dream and plan – and get moving! We like our branding to be constant but innovative; stand out with a style that is ours. We’ve recently added a new umbrella brand to the organisational structure. We have a new non-branded range of resources to release in 2021. Plus we have a new brand joining the organisation in 2021, so there will be the chance to make this ministry option ‘ping’ in the market as well. In addition, we'll be working with a bigger agency for the bigger jobs.

You’ll be encouraged to embrace and engage with your strengths. We’re committed to each team member growing their strengths and using them, not only at work, but also in the rest of life. Coming on team, you would get to know and contribute to the team culture, enjoy being coached in your top five Clifton Strengths, and learn about our organisation that started with one group 30 years ago in New Zealand.

We pray together and are expectant of God to act through our efforts. We drink coffee together, laugh often, and invariably wrestle with big issues from a theological standpoint around the lunch room table. We’re a diverse bunch from a variety of denominations who agree to disagree, love to hear what others are thinking, and value each person’s thoughts. Coincidentally, you’ll need to embrace and work within our Statement of Faith

You can expect ten hours in total, worked over two days, per week, worked in a casual capacity, at our Bayswater Support Centre (one of those days needs to be a Tuesday or a Thursday). We can provide some flexibility with work hours, particularly if you have school holiday responsibilities. Your availability would come through mutual negotiation during those times.

What are you waiting for? We’d love to hear from you – please send your CV telling us about your work history. And confirm in your covering letter whether you have the right to work in Australia and how much time you need to give your current employer after letting them know you have a new position. We’ll talk remuneration at the interview along with a host of other things that you’ll probably want to know before making a decision. And once we’re through the interview process, if we’d like to take your application further, we’ll contact referees.
