About the role

Our Support Coordinators provide direct assistance to NDIS participants and their families to implement the funded supports in their NDIS plan. They also provide specialist NDIS advice to participants and families, and professionals in their care network. They work to link them to any necessary mainstream and community supports. MacKillop staff take pride in developing the potential of our participants to manage their own funding in future where possible.

As a registered NDIS provider, our disability services support children and young people with a disability and their families through tailored services that build confidence and encourage independence. We are committed to supporting children and young people with a disability to improve access to services that enable them to live the life they choose. MacKillop offers NDIS disability support services in Victoria, WA and New South Wales.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong commitment to implementing MacKillop’s values by supporting children and young people aged 0-25, as well as parents with a disability and dependent children, to achieve their NDIS goals and successfully implement their NDIS plan/s.
  • A minimum certificate qualification in Disability Studies / Community Services (or other relevant qualifications) and over 1 year of experience supporting people under the NDIS. Tertiary qualifications are highly regarded.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service, being responsive, having a can-do attitude, being attentive to participant needs and quickly resolving issues or points of crisis that arise.
  • The ability to meet KPIs such as minimum daily billing rates and completing NDIS reports in a timely fashion.
  • The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting that may include other mainstream services (e.g. Child Protection, Health, Education) and community supports (Local Libraries, Community Learning Centres, Day Programs etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with others and exercise influence in a diversity of contexts.
