MacDonnell Regional Council's Youth Services program provides meaningful opportunities for young people in remote communities that contribute to positive life outcomes.

The Team Leader Youth Services works with a team of local staff to deliver Youth Services. Our program aims to deliver Sport and Recreation, Leadership and Culture, Jobs, Education and Training and Staff Development to young people and their families.

The successful candidate will:

• Possess a Certificate IV in Youth, Sport, and Recreation, Community Development or a related field
• Experience in implementing and evaluating youth-specific programs
• Experience in maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Have a high level of communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment

A key aspect of this role is to nurture confidence and team-building skills among the local staff so they may take increasing responsibility for the program.

This position is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis through to 31 December 2021. A further contract term may be offered depending on funding, performance in the role and potential extension of leave.
