Lutheran Services is seeking Expressions of Interest for a critical position on our Executive Team. This person may be an ordained or lay member of the Lutheran Community and whose role it will be to provide expert advice to Lutheran Services on theological matters, ethics and pastoral care.

The Executive Lead, Ethos and Identity is responsible for providing Lutheran leadership, spiritual support and guidance for the management of Lutheran Services employees to enable the promotion and take-up of meaningful cultural practices in our Services. Critical to the success of this position will be the formation, delivery and monitoring of strategic programs and service outcomes for the spiritual formation and Lutheran identity programs in our Services.

The successful person will:

• Maintain a high degree of currency regarding Identity Formation, Theology, Ethics and Chaplaincy via research practices and professional development
• Have extensive experience in designing and delivering initiatives to promote ongoing spiritual formation, strengthening the Lutheran identity, and meaningful cultural practices
• Have extensive experience in providing general coordination and pastoral support for ordained and lay Lutheran Services chaplains, with an ability to develop and implement pastoral care and chaplaincy service plans
• Bring an engaging, calm and considered approach with a strong people focus
• Be a leader with experience in managing a large and diverse team
• Be a strong, clear, effective and imagined communicator
