Let’s talk about the role:

The Full Time Domestic and Family Violence Case Manager will be responsible to:

  • Work with women, children and young people within an evidence-based framework of risk and needs assessments, crisis intervention, strengths-based practice, skills building, empowerment and problem solving;
  • Identify and assess risk and needs for women and children using an evidence based risk assessment framework;
  • Establish Goal Plans with women, children and relevant multi-disciplinary stakeholders;
  • Ensure Goal Plans and supports are consistent with contemporary research and industry standards;
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate programs / group work that assist women and their families to gain skills to assist them to re-establish themselves in the community;
  • Empower women to make decisions and choices about their lives and their children;
  • Participate in an after hours on-call roster.

Now let’s talk about you:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Degree level qualifications in social work, social or behavioural sciences
  • Significant experience working within community services, ideally domestic and family violence and/or family services or child safety sectors
  • Previous experience conducting risk and needs assessments with women and children
  • A willingness to work with children as individual clients in their own right
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • The ability to contribute to a positive team culture including excellent interpersonal skills
  • This position requires maintenance of a positive Working with Children (Blue Card) check and current Australian Driver’s License.
