This is a full time, ongoing opportunity for a Treatment Facilitator to join our Residential Service, Mirikai based at Burleigh Heads on the beautiful Gold Coast.

About the opportunity

As part of the residential team the Treatment Facilitator undertakes case management, provides Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) counselling, facilitate group programs and contribute to the day to day functioning of the residential community.

  • Provide high quality engagement, assessment and support services to clients, and their families
  • Manage a case load of clients providing clinical support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist client in achieving their goals
  • Facilitate group work and processes autonomously, including helping to develop program materials
  • Manage challenge behaviour, efficacy blockers and detractive dynamics
  • Ability to work a 1pm to 9pm shift per week, and a Friday 1pm to 9pm shift once per month

The salary range for the role is $80,304 to $83,940 annually. We are fortunate that our employees can also access up to $18,540 salary packaging which increases their take home pay.

We are looking for an experienced Clinician who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling or mental health
  • Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD clinical practice
  • Experience working in a residential treatment service delivery
  • Sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment
  • Experience in developing and delivering education programs and group facilitation.
  • Highly developed communication and engagement skills.
