Job Summary

Lead a team of 13 staff for up to 10 women to live-in with their children as part of a residential rehabilitation program.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a Team Leader with Registered Nurse (RN) qualifications, who will join our team and support the clinical and operational management of the Women’s residential service (Elouera) in Orange that was opened in March 2018.

You will oversee a program aimed at reducing drug and alcohol dependency, mental health concerns, relationship issues and the challenges of parenting, with the goal of supporting women to transition back into their community.

You will support and work alongside a small multi-disciplinary team, including a psychologist, childcare worker and drug and alcohol case workers to deliver a service that includes advice and support for issues with domestic violence; parenting; group activities like creative art, yoga, physical fitness and mental wellbeing support groups.

There will be many ongoing opportunities to develop your skills and career, not matched in the public sector or in the region.

The salary range for the role is $88,000 to $94,000 annually. We are fortunate that our employees can also access up to $18,540 salary packaging which increases their take home pay.

What you will bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing.
  • Minimum five years’ experience working in a related service delivery setting and working as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a multidisciplinary team providing services to clients with complex needs including experience in intake, assessment, screening, case management, case review and referral.
  • Contemporary knowledge and application of evidence-based individual and group interventions and clinical practice in drug and alcohol treatment and recovery processes such as cognitive behavioural therapies, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapeutic strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements that underpin the treatment and clinical management of substance misuse problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing staff to achieve high performance and strong engagement.
  • Highly developed consultation, communication and interpersonal skills, to engage effectively with diverse clients, staff and stakeholders.
  • Innovative, flexible and solutions focused resolve emergent issues and to enhance services delivery to better meet resident needs.
  • Strong experience in treating Drug and Alcohol substance abuse with emphasis assisting women (desirable).

Also, as this is a Women’s residential service (and the experiences the clients have been through) it is preferred that the successful candidate is female.
