Team Leader & Clinical Lead - headspace Upper Coomera

We are starting a new headspace based in Upper Coomera and we are looking for an experienced Team Leader and Clinical Lead to work closely with the Clinical Services Manager to establish the delivery and on-going development of this new headspace service.

headspace Upper Coomera is hosted by Lives Lived Well and is part of the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to young people (aged 12-25 years) offering a range of services aimed in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing.

About the area

This role is based at Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Together with our new Clinical Services Manager, you will be working in our brand-new fit out office that’s built with our clients in mind. You will have support through our experienced team at our established headspace Southport service.

About the opportunity

As the Team Leader you will provide clinical and operational leadership across the team and to monitor aspects of the service including the engagement, screening, assessing and coordination of care for young people. This will include:

  • Provide daily coordination of the team responsibilities and support the team and student placements.
  • Maintain and promote a supportive team environment for the team, student placements and Private Practitioners.
  • Contribute to the development of the process and practice within the Centre.
  • Provide clinical supervision to the team and student placements
  • Maintain and promote the program in the greater community, including building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with program partners and all relevant stakeholders

The salary range starts from $103,000 annually. We are fortunate that our employees can also access $18,540 salary packaging which increases your take home pay.

We are looking for an experienced Clinician who will bring with them:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Behavioural Sciences, allied health.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the supervision of a multidisciplinary services delivery team including the ability to lead the coordination of care for young people with complex care needs.
  • Substantial experience (min 5 years) and in evidence based clinical practice within the mental health field (including young people).
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in the provision of high-quality assessment and evidence-based psychological interventions, within a stress-vulnerability framework for young people.
  • AHPRA/AASW membership (or eligible to become)
