About the Service

You will be applying for a Casual Position that will work across Logan House and Logan Family Recovery. Hours are varied and may include overnight shifts.

Logan House (LH) and Logan Family Recovery (LFR) are residential rehabilitation programs that allow clients to receive 24/7 treatment whilst they remain on site. The residentials are located on the site of Logan House, Chambers Flat. The program is on a quiet, rural setting. Our specialist team includes drug and alcohol and family counsellors, a treatment facilitator, a registered nurse and other allied health professionals.

About the role

We are looking for casual Support Workers to join our professional and qualified teams at Logan Family Recovery and Logan House. You will be part of an integral team and be supported by an experienced Team Leader. Your role will be to support and monitor the activities of the clients through relationship building, day-to-day care and consideration of service planning goals.

You will thrive in this opportunity to:

  • Provide on shift support and supervision to the client on site
  • Facilitate transport, outings and client support that aligns with service planning and goals
  • Prioritise rapport and relationship with the clients in assisting the delivery of an experience that incorporates safe practice in safe spaces

These are casual roles based in Chambers Flat – working a variety of shifts throughout the week and weekend. You will work alongside our Treatment Facilitators to provide support and guidance to our families and their children.

About you

Our Support Worker team shares the passion and dedication in changing lives for the better for our clients. In that, you encourage our clients to participate in community living and take on daily tasks and responsibilities. Possessing the following skills and experience will ensure success in the role.

  1. Demonstrated ability to engage easily with a diverse and complex client group.
  2. Demonstrated ability to mediate, resolve conflict and deal with behavioural issues in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of issues relating to the misuse of alcohol and other drugs and/or mental health issues, in the context of wider family and social systems

The salary range for this $34.04 to $36.50 per hour (plus casual loading), applicable penalties and loadings.
