We are seeking General Practitioners to be a part of our Lives Lived Well Specialist Centre (LLWSC) in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.

Initially, you will work one or two consulting days, with the option to increase this commitment over time.

About the Specialist Centre

The LLWSC primarily supports clients from all LLW services including the Mirikai Residential Rehabilitation program and a range of Youth, Family and Community AOD programs.

Each day you will work with a dynamic cohort of clients providing holistic follow-up of mental, physical, and sexual health as well as chronic disease monitoring under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS). You will be supported by a passionate Practice Manager and Registered Nurse within the centre.

What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and well-credentialed General Practitioner (VR GP certified), with a passion for alcohol and other drug and mental health to join the team at LLWSC.

There is the ability in the role to utilise and provide guidance and recommendations with the well-established and professional multi-disciplinary team.

There is also the flexibility to bring your private client load with you and continue to see community clients within the Specialist Centre.

As an experienced and passionate GP you will bring

• Fellowship of General Practice (VR GP)
• Membership with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Passion and experience with working alcohol and other drugs and mental health
• Passion and experience with a diverse and complex population including working with children, youth and young adults
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience in performing health checks
• Have professional indemnity insurance.
