We are starting a new headspace service based in Upper Coomera and are looking for an experienced Clinical Services Manager to lead the set up, delivery and on-going development of this new headspace service for a 6-month period. After this 6-month establishment period, you will move to managing both the Upper Coomera headspace and our existing headspace Primary Southport service on a 50/50 basis.

headspace Upper Coomera is hosted by Lives Lived Well and is part of the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to young people (aged 12-25 years) offering a range of services aimed in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing.

About the area

This role is based at Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast in Queensland. You will be working in our brand-new fit out offices that’s built with our clients in mind. You will have support in this set up from our dedicated and experienced team as well as from our established headspace Southport service.

About the opportunity

As the Clinical Services Manager you will provide leadership and operational management of the service, undertake innovative projects involving internal and external collaborators and partnerships, oversee best practice to young people and their support networks, and collaborate with funding and mental health stakeholders in a dynamic national setting.

  • Take responsibility and lead the setup and establishment of the new service in the community.
  • Ensure high standards of clinical care that are young people focused and promote early intervention, accessible, responsive and recovery-focused evidence-based best practice.
  • Create an environment that promotes excellence in youth health and support services and a community of practice.
  • Oversee the implementation of relevant, innovative and quality clinical services and contribute to program and research development to ensure service integrity and quality.
  • Provide financial planning and oversight of the service budget.

The salary range is $115,000 to $118,00 annually. We are fortunate that our employees can also access $18,540 salary packaging which increases your take-home pay.

The home-garaging of a motor vehicle is on offer with the role, subject to pool availability during normal operating hours.

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Service Manage who will bring with them:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice within the mental health field, including young people experiencing mental health disorders
  • Tertiary qualifications in (or related to) mental health
  • A calm demeanour and advanced standing in health service leadership that conveys confidence and credibility to lead, negotiate, collaborate and motivate
  • Demonstrated experience to effectively lead and report on complex service planning and development over clinical practice, operations, finances and people management.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively engage in strategic leadership, across multidisciplinary and/or cross-sector initiatives, and partnerships with a wide range of professionals, organisations and stakeholders
