You can live by the beach and be at work in 30 minutes! This role is based in Rockhampton, QLD a 30-minute drive from the beautiful beaches along the Capricorn Coast. You will be working in our a brand-new fit out office that’s built with our clients in mind. You will be working alongside our established services and teams in Rockhampton which include adult AOD services and CREST.

We are starting a new Youth Day Program in Rockhampton, delivering group program and working with groups of young people between the ages of 12-17 and 18-21 years old. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) clinicians with experience in developing and facilitating group programs and working one on one providing individual counselling and case management.

About the opportunity

As part of the AOD services team, you will work with Young people in the delivering an intensive AOD day group program with an emphasis on group facilitation. You will work with clients to provide individual counselling/case management with an independent caseload. This will include:

  • Provide high quality engagement, assessment, counselling, case management and support services to young people and their families.
  • Facilitate group programs with other co-facilitators
  • Manage a case load of clients, through providing support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist client in achieving their goals.
  • Recognise the needs of young people and their families/significant others, including the provision of psycho-education, debriefing, support and any family work required
  • Work one x 11am to 7pm shift per week to deliver evening group program

This is a full time ongoing position. The salary range for is $78,921 to $82,478 annually. We are fortunate that our employees can also access $18,540 salary packaging which increases your take home pay.

We are looking for experienced Clinicians who have:

  • A bachelor level qualification in a relevant human services field such as psychology, social work or allied health
  • Demonstrated experience in contemporary evidence based AOD counselling practice, case management and intake and assessment
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding in working with young people and their key stakeholders
  • Strong experience in facilitating groups/sessions in relation to AOD
  • Highly developed communication and engagement skills
