About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Alcohol and Other Drug Counsellor Case Manager to deliver integrated individual counselling and case management, and group programs.

As an AOD Counsellor Case Manager you will work with a case load of clients and their families who are wanting to overcome their alcohol and drug dependence. You will provide high quality engagement, assessment counselling and support services to your clients using you experience in evidence-based practice principles for withdrawal, support and recovery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high quality engagement, assessment, counselling and support services to clients, using evidence based practice principles
  • Manage a caseload of clients, through providing support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist client in achieving their goals
  • Effectively assess and manage client risk
  • Effectively support clients in developing and implementing holistic client service plans that are considerate of a range of client needs including: personal medical/treatment, spiritual, values/beliefs, vocational, social/relational, recreation/leisure, physical, financial, housing/environment
  • Develop, facilitate and evaluate therapeutic group programs aimed at achieving client readiness for AOD residential treatment

About you

You will be an experienced Counsellor Case Manager who is dedicated to make a change in our client’s journey to recovery. Your ability to working autonomously and collaboratively in a team will ensure success in the role. You will also demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with clients who have AOD issues/concerns
  • Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD counselling practice, case management and intake and assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related area health services discipline or equivalent experience (desirable)

This is a full time ongoing role, working 38 hours per week.

The salary range for this role is up to $92,773.20 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. We are fortunate that our employees can also access $18,540 salary packaging which increases your take home pay.
