I am a warm, friendly and intelligent lady living in the Annerley area. I have limited movement and strength due to my physical disability caused by a genetic neurological condition (SMA3, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, type 3). I use a powerchair for mobility and hoist for transfers.
Years working as a C.P.A. (Certified Practicing Accountant) has given me the experience to journey through life’s ups and downs with a sense of logic, realism and analytical wisdom. I live with my elderly parents, so it is very important to me that you able to connect with my family and myself. Relatives and friends often visit too. I enjoy going out on short outings from time to time, the movies, shopping, lunching, listening to music, reading and church. Hydrotherapy is also very important to me and allows me to maintain the limited movement and strength that I have as long as possible.
I am seeking to add an additional “support worker” to be part of my team to assist me in my daily activities so that I can live a “normal life” in my own home with my family.
Due to the nature of the care I require, I am looking for a female to join my team for approximately 7+ hours per week with extra hours as they arise during the week so you must have the capacity to be very flexible.
I have a great deal of drive and ambition and this role will help to facilitate my life in a meaningful way which will bring a great deal of satisfaction to the right person. There will also be full training with buddy shifts to ensure that you are comfortable and confident in the role. As a self-managed NDIS participant you deal directly with me, a PAYG employer with superannuation and Workcover insurance. Pay rates are as per Level 3.2 of the S.C.H.C & D.S.I Award 2010 (Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010).
