  • Support the LFIA team through effective community engagement and administration
  • Ideally Sydney or Melbourne based, however would consider anywhere on Australia’s east coast for the right person

General Overview

The Living Future Institute Australia (LFIA) is dedicated to establishing a powerful network of informed, influential, and active global citizens who are committed to redefining humanity’s relationships with the ecosystems we inhabit. Joining together as citizens of the planet, we seek to redirect our future towards a society that is socially just, culturally rich and ecologically restorative.

The LFIA is an affiliate of the International Living Future Institute and provides education & training, advocacy, and opportunities for connection, across several innovative international programs, including the Living Building Challenge.

2019 saw our first Living Certified building in Australia as well as the opening of Burwood Brickworks Shopping Centre, the first retail centre to attempt the Living Building Challenge globally. Last year proved that it can be done, 20/21 aims to expand our reach and capacity build our community.

Key Skills

The Key Skills needed for this role include:

  • A flair for digital marketing
  • Design experience, including tools such as Canva, InDesign, Mailchimp and Wordpress
  • Social media prowess
  • Proven ability to write clear and compelling copy on a variety of mediums
  • Experience in community engagement
  • Good customer services skills
  • Accurate record keeping and data management
  • Event management experience is desirable
