We are seeking a Full-time Drug and Alcohol Case Worker to work for the MERIT team in Dubbo.

Who we are:

At Lives Lived Well, we help people impacted by drugs or alcohol, mental health and gambling. We get lives back on track by delivering a wide range of programs and services (including residential rehab) across 40 locations in Queensland and New South Wales.

About the role:

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Case Worker, based in Dubbo, that will work with the MERIT team by providing assessment, case management support and counselling to defendants with drug or alcohol substance abuse problems, that have been referred to the MERIT program.

In addition, provide an effective and efficient service to the courts and the participants of the program. This will include accurate assessments, ongoing information to the courts and intensive case management utilising a broad range of community services.

The role will work closely with the MERIT team, based in Dubbo, with support from the Team Leader and the local team.

The base salary range for this role is $70,266 - 74,890 per annum + super (9.5%) + salary packaging (increase take home pay by $6000 per annum)

The successful candidate will need:

• Experience in counselling in a one on one environment and group setting
• Demonstrated experience in group facilitation and presentation
• Demonstrated solid understanding of drug and alcohol treatment issues particularly in an outreach setting
• Ability to work with a broad and diverse range of people including health professionals, treatment agencies, government and non-government organisations and policy makers
• Capacity to motivate and encourage clients to make change in their lives
• Hold a Working with Children Check (e.g. Blue Card)
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
