Little Dreamers is Australia’s leading Young Carer organisation, supporting young people who provide unpaid care for a family member with a disability, illness or addiction across a range of direct support programs. We focus on five key risk factors faced by Young Carers – social isolation, poor mental health, unemployment, and financial and educational disadvantage.
Over the past 11 years, we’ve become a game changing force in the Young Carer space, developing internationally recognised best practice programs and changing the lives of thousands of Young Carers around Australia. Within the wider community we also focus on advocacy for policy change, for more support and recognition for Young Carers whilst also raising awareness of the prevalence of Young Carers and how the community, the education system, friends and family can rally around for increased support.
Little Dreamers is working to improve the quality of life of Young Carers, with a vision to ensure that every single Young Carer around the world is supported by someone or something by 2030.
Little Dreamers is rapidly growing our Dream Team! We’re seeking a Dreamers Hub and Content Coordinator to help us create and source dynamic, uplifting and exciting content for our online Young Carer platform, The Dreamers Hub, and our social media accounts.
As our Dreamers Hub and Content Coordinator, you’ll work closely with our National Marketing and Events Manager to identify new ways to target and engage our audience, employing our signature Little Dreamers tone and style to do so.
This is a perfect recent graduate position, providing an opportunity to build your creative career in content, social media and communications. You’ll spend your day to day connecting with Young Carers and organisations to source content, developing content calendars, writing your own blogs, maintaining our Dreamers Hub, and personifying the Little Dreamers brand!
People with diverse experiences are highly encouraged to apply. This includes but is not limited to, people with lived experience in caring roles, First Nations, people from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, people with disabilities and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
Other duties as required by the National Marketing and Events Manager.
