ABOUT LILLIAN’S:

The Lillian Howell Project Inc is a medium-long term therapeutic accommodation service housing up to eight girls and young women aged 13-17 years who are homeless and have experienced complex trauma. Lillian’s has been operating as a relational-based service in Sydney’s Inner West since 1988, providing a medium term supported housing option in the youth accommodation sector.

Lillian’s aim is to provide young women who have experienced complex trauma with a stable environment offering care that is reparative and empowering, and that builds the capacity of the young women through modelling reliable and consistent behaviours and case management. Over an extended period of time, the competency and confidence of each young woman builds, and her capacity to make autonomous and independent decisions about her own future grows with that confidence. The caseworker supports vulnerable girls and young women through the transition from dependence to independence through individualised case management.
