Lighthouse Foundation provides therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where young people can feel safe, form meaningful relationships and begin to heal.
Lighthouse Foundations Early and Forced Marriage (EFM) therapeutic program was established in October 2018 with the aim of providing safe and secure accommodation for young women who have been impacted by EFM. Following the success of the EFM therapeutic Program, the necessity for a transitional home where young women can further develop their independence is required.
This Transitional home, with individualised Therapeutic Case Management, will provide a safe space for the young women to be active participants in the creation of their transition into meaningful and sustainable living. Therapeutic Case Management will have an increased focus on empowerment in human relationships, education and employment to support the next steps into independent living.
