Who are we?

Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships, and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.

How will I help?

Bringing your creative flare, events experience and incredible relationship skills, you will increase the dollars coming through the door for the vital programs that Lighthouse runs. As Corporate Partnerships Manager your role is to build lasting relationships with business partners while keeping existing relationships fresh and fruitful. Ensuring support for the cause is continued in a long-term capacity, is key.

You will be enthusiastic in having the initial conversation to introduce Lighthouse to a business, ensuring they understand both the benefit to their company and how their partnership will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.

Working collaboratively and in a tight-knit group, you will be the go-to person for all day-to-day and on-ground engagement activities with partners.

With a strategic focus, what is crucial is a positive ‘roll up your sleeve’s kind of attitude’ - one that makes our partners feel genuinely valued, excited and inspired to support our cause.

What do I need to be successful?

First and foremost, interpersonal skills are a must, with a level of maturity and understanding needed when working with those who use our services.

From a professional standpoint you will require;

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • NFP experience
  • Tertiary Qualification in related discipline
  • High levels of emotional intelligence are crucial, enabling the Engagement Manager to change their messaging to suit a variety of potential partners, with volunteering activities involving diverse individuals from CEOs to construction workers.
  • Work/life experience with a track record of successful communication and measurable positive outcomes.
  • Understanding of current legal and compliance requirements within the not-for-profit sector

Other key skills which would be beneficial;

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with relentlessly high standards.
  • Previous experience in writing partnership proposals and bid/tender documents (highly desirable)
  • An ability to project manage multiple competing projects and their budgets (highly desirable)
