About the role
We are seeking an experienced self-motivated, client-focused manager.
You will:
- Be responsible for the operational management of Relationship Matters services across the Western Region.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals in the delivery of counselling, mediation, behaviour change and learning services.
- Have a passion for employee wellbeing, with demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive team culture and workforce development.
You will establish and build internal/external partnerships, ensuring high quality service through:
- Commitment and capacity for evidence informed practice, working professionally, flexibly and in the best interests of clients.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication, service promotion and community engagement.
- Direct client engagement where relevant with exceptional ethical standards.
About you
You will have:
- At least two (2) years’ experience in management or team leadership, with practical computer literacy.
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or a similar field and/or postgraduate studies, with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in counselling.
- Registered with AHPRA, AASW or an equivalent professional association.
- Have proficiency in contemporary methods of counselling and family therapy, along with direct experience in the field; knowledge of Gottman theories and practice is an advantage.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Family Law Act 1975, the Family Violence.
Protection Act 2008 and the Mental Health Act 2014:
- Experience working with LGBTIQ+ communities, children, people who use family violence and/or victim survivors (highly desirable);
- Experience in EAP counselling, critical incident responses and training (desirable).
