About the Role

Working directly with Young People with trauma background in 24/7 residential care, we have permanent part time and casual positions available in Alstonville.

The successful candidates will have experience working with Children and Young People with trauma backgrounds and complex behaviours and be available to work a variety of shifts across a rotating fortnightly 24/7 roster with the possibility of active night shifts and sleep overs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day to day care, supervision and transport to children and young people
• Actively participate in activities and increase competencies of young people
• Mentoring 
• Develop, implement and monitor individual plans 
• Maintenance of progress notes and report writing
• Support the involvement of family

Skills & Experience

• Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or similar
• A current Senior First Aid Certificate
• A current unrestricted Driver Licence
• Ability to work various shifts (sleepover & active nights) throughout the week
• Prior knowledge and/or experience working with young people

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
