About the Role

Join our team at our new therapeutic home in Mororo (Yamba/Maclean Region) as a Youth Worker, Residential on a part-time basis. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a change in a Young Person's life.

Working directly with Young People, this position is based in a 24/7 Residential Setting with fortnightly rotating shift rosters including active night shifts. The successful candidates will need to have a Diploma in community services, youth work or similar as well as experience working with complex behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day to day therapeutic care, supervision and transport to children and young people
• Actively participate in activities and increase competencies of young people
• Mentoring 
• Develop, implement and monitor individual plans 
• Maintenance of progress notes and report writing
• Support the involvement of family

Skills & Experience

• Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or similar
• A current Senior First Aid Certificate
• A current unrestricted Driver Licence
• Ability to work various shifts (sleepover & active nights) throughout the week in Mororo
• Prior knowledge and/or experience working with young people

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
