About the Role

Permanent full-time position providing strategic leadership and effective management of Life Without Barriers’s (LWB) Workers Compensation, Injury Management and Employee Wellbeing Programs to optimise outcomes for our employees and deliver efficiency gains for the organisation. As this is a national position, this role can be based from any one of our offices in Australia with flexibility to work from home.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership to a team of Injury Management Advisors to effectively and efficiently deliver team and business objectives
  • Develop and maintain leading practice Injury Management Policies, Programs and Procedures for the organisation
  • Provide strategic leadership of the LWB Workers Compensation Program including LWB’s Self-Insurance licence in NSW. Manage all policy, premiums, prudential and compliance matters in relation to compensation schemes in each jurisdiction.
  • Lead the Workers Compensation Insurance Renewal Program and associated governance and risk management processes
  • Develop and implement a Wellbeing program for LWB that supports employees to live life safe and well and delivers positive outcomes for our clients
  • Drive LWB’s Employee Assistance Program to optimise outcomes for employees and carers.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification in Injury Management, Workers Compensation, Workplace Health and Safety or related field
  • Extensive experience implementing and leading Workers Compensation, Injury Management and employee wellbeing programs within a medium to large organisation operating in multi-site operations
  • Proven experience leading small to mid-size teams, working remotely across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
