About the Role

Due to an internal movement we have an opportunity for a Team Leader with previous experience in a leadership/management role within disability services to join our team based in Baulkham Hills.

The successful candidate will oversee the day to day running of two Supported Independent Living’s (Group Homes), providing supervision and support to a team of 10 – 15 Disability Support Workers in order to ensure that high standard of support and care is provided to our clients.

Candidates who have previous experience working with and supporting clients with epilepsy, autism and behaviour support plans will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and managing the daily operations of the disability programs
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders, including families
  • Monitoring the coordination and development of Individual Plans of clients
  • Providing supervision and support to Disability Support Workers, including planning and facilitating regular team meetings
  • Ensuring services are provided in accordance with funding agency standards and agreements
  • Providing direct assistance and support to clients
  • Identifying and developing community resources that can be used by our clients

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate IV in Disability or similar or equivalent relevant experience
  • Previous experience working in a leadership/management role within disability services
  • Experience in supporting clients with complex needs and behaviours of concern will be highly regarded
  • Ability to work with individuals, families and/or groups from a strength-based culturally appropriate perspective
  • High level communication, influencing, liaison and negotiation skills.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
