This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to actively support the individual needs of frail, aged and people with a disability who access Life Without Barriers Community Care Services. Support Workers work as a team to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with clients in a positive and proactive environment. The services that we provide include Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Packages (HCP).
The successful incumbent for this position will be required to support multiple clients per day, potentially starting as early as 6am and finishing as late as 6pm. Alternate weekends will also be required.
Our core business in the region is domestic assistance (cleaning). During shifts you will support our clients to do cleaning tasks that they may be unable to do themselves including sweeping, mopping, making the bed and cleaning the bathroom. Life Without Barriers service Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast as well as Yeppoon and Emu Park and the successful candidate will be required to work across all areas.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
