About the Role 

As a key support in the life of an older person, you will be providing one on one in-home support to an Aged Care client in Canberra. You will be assisting them to remain living independently at home and access the community through the provision of social support, personal care, transport and domestic assistance. This role includes individual sessions ranging between 1 to 3 hours in length, across a rotating Monday – Sunday roster.

These positions will be Permanent Part Time at 20 hours per week. Successful candidates will have flexible availability and experience caring for complex clients.

Essential Requirements  

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Nursing, Home and Community Care or Aged Care
• A current Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
• Reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• A current First Aid Certificate
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting and promoting the individual needs of our clients
• Experience providing high level personal care

Highly Desired

• 2 years experience in a similar role
• Experience working with complex clients living with an acquired brain injury/dementia
• Experience as an AIN assisting with toileting, catheter care and rehabilitation exercises

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and a Working With Vulnerable People Card.
