About the role 

As a Support Worker (Home Care), you will be actively supporting our Aged Care and Veteran clients to remain living independently at home through the provision of social support, personal care and domestic assistance.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and demonstrate a passion for supporting and promoting the individual needs of our Aged Care and Veteran clients. Candidates with a relevant Certificate III and previous experience supporting Aged Care/Veteran clients will be highly regarded.

Individual shifts range between 1 to 3 hours, ideal for candidates seeking additional permanent or casual work, work during school hours or students who are available between Monday and Sunday from 7am to 10pm. We have multiple casual and part time roles available based throughout Canberra and surrounding suburbs in NSW.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Social support and transportation including transport to medical appointments, grocery shopping and social activities
  • Personal care including showering, grooming and dressing assistance
  • Housekeeping and domestic assistance including cooking, household cleaning and laundry assistance

Skills & Experience  

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Home and Community Care or Aged Care
  • A current unrestricted Australian drivers licence
  • Reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Good communication skills and a passion for supporting and promoting the individual needs of our clients.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and a Working with Vulnerable People Card.
