About the role

12 month maximum term contract based in Darwin partnering with our Child, Youth & Family services in the Northern Territory to provide HR coaching, advice and generalist support. You will be joining a national HR team who are passionate what they do whilst working in a fast paced, agile environment.  If you are not a local to Darwin but you enjoy exploring and love the outdoors, this could be the great escape from the rat race you have been looking for!

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with management teams to achieve their business and leadership objectives
  • Provide advice, support and coaching to leaders on a range of complex and sensitive IR/ER or HR issues
  • Respond to, and support, issues as they arise relating to complaints, grievances and performance issues
  • Maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
  • Experience as an HR generalist and experience in IR/ER
  • Understanding of the Australian Industrial Relations System and EEO practices and principles as they apply within the territory
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business partnerships with all levels and in geographically dispersed locations
  • Solution focused with strong influencing skills

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
