About this role

Permanent full time role additional due growth located in our Winnellie or Alice Springs office. This role will support our Child, Youth & Family services teams throughout the NT where you will empower them to perform their role safely.  You will be joining a national Safety team who are passionate about what they do. You will have supportive leadership with the autonomy to do what you do best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, coaching, leadership and support within the portfolio on a range of HSE matters
  • Monitor key health and safety performance areas to deliver a culture focused on continuous HSE improvement
  • Monitor incidents, actions and outcomes to ensure adequate incident management and proactive measures to minimise reoccurrence
  • Assist with incident investigations and other risk management activities as required
  • Conduct internal HSE audits to identify non-conformance in key HSE areas
  • Monitor compliance of contractor and third party HSE requirements
  • Conduct HSE training needs analysis; and coordinate and deliver HSE training to agreed outcomes
  • Provide reporting, auditing and analysis of HSE organisational performance

As this role supports Child, Youth & Family services across the NT, travel will be required on a regular basis.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar position or as an Allied Health Professional with safety risk management experience
  • A self-motivated, results orientated individual with proven experience in building relationships through a partnership approach
  • The ability to work autonomously with their portfolio, and as part of the greater HSE team to achieve overall HSE improvement

The Successful candidate will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
