About this role

Newly created Senior HSE Advisor role located in our Winnellie office on a permanent full time basis. This role will support our Client Services teams throughout the Northern Territory and will involve travel throughout the Territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, coaching and support within the portfolio on a range of HSE matters
  • Monitor key health and safety performance areas to deliver a culture focused on continuous HSE improvement
  • Monitor incidents, actions and outcomes to ensure adequate incident management and proactive measures to minimise reoccurrence
  • Assist with incident investigations and other risk management activities as required
  • Conduct internal HSE audits to identify non-conformance in key HSE areas
  • Monitor compliance of contractor and third party HSE requirements
  • Conduct HSE training needs analysis; and coordinate and deliver HSE training to agreed outcomes
  • Provide reporting, auditing and analysis of HSE organisational performance

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety (or related field) and/or equivalent experience within a Human Services organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding of current legislative requirements within workplace health safety and environment
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring a safety management system within a geographically dispersed organisation operating in multi-site locations
  • Proven experience in supporting a strong safety culture resulting in improved safety performance
  • A self-motivated, results orientated individual with proven experience in building relationships through a partnership approach
  • The ability to work autonomously with their portfolio, and as part of the greater HSE team to achieve overall HSE improvement
  • Ability to travel within the Northern Territory as required

The Successful candidate will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
