About the role

Provide therapeutic support and care to up to 4 children/young people, with backgrounds of trauma, abuse and neglect living in 24/7 residential settings in Wollongong.

Part time and casual positions available, successful candidates will require flexibility to work across various shifts on a 24/7 roster which may include overnight and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor individual plans 
  • Provide day to day care, supervision and transport to children and young people
  • Actively participate in activities and increase competencies of young people
  • Mentoring of young people
  • Maintenance of progress notes and report writing
  • Support the involvement of family

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or similar 
  • Candidates who are working towards a Diploma with relevant experience may be considered
  • A current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • A current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work various shifts (sleepover & active nights) throughout the week
  • Experience working with young people with trauma background

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
