About the Role 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse on a part-time basis to join our team. This role is a Territory-wide position based in Darwin and travel across the Northern Territory is required as part of the role.

This role will predominantly be providing training to support workers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting health assessments with children and adults with a disability accessing our services or the NDIS.
  • Provide high-level care assessments and advise of implications for the care team.
  • Provide clinical knowledge and expertise to support the placements of service users accessing our Disability, Out of Home Care and Aged Care services.
  • Develop and monitor health care plans around meeting the changing health needs of individuals.
  • Educate personnel, including support workers and carers, on how to support clients with complex health needs including performing complex health care procedures. 

Skills & Experience

  • You must hold a degree qualification in Registered Nursing and current registration with appropriate board.
  • Significant experience working with people with a disability who have high support medical needs.
  • Excellent health assessment skills.
  • Community nursing experience is highly desirable.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
