About the role

The Regional Finance Officer is a key resource to enable the client services teams to achieve their finance-related objectives and comply with organisational finance-related policies and procedures at regional level. This is a permanent full time position located in Townsville.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately code, process and collate accounts payable related forms and credit card reconciliations within established time frames according to current procedures and policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of banking and management of minor finances.
  • Ensure timely completion of a high volume of payments to carers and contractors within established time frames on a fortnightly basis.
  • Ensure timely completion of quotes, invoicing and accounts receivable follow up.
  • Provide finance support and advice to the client services teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and year end accounting within the national policy framework and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable within a high volume, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce a high volume of work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Certificate level qualifications in Business, Accounting or similar, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of GST processes and requirements.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and experience using a computerised accounting system.
  • Working knowledge of NDIS is desirable.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
