We partner with people (including those with a disability, in out of home care, experiencing homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse, who may suffer mental illness, are refugees and older persons) to change lives for the better.
We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.
The role of the Recovery Coach is to provide support to people with a mental health/psychosocial disability diagnosis to increase their independence, take more control of their lives and to better manage their complex challenges of day-to-day living.
Aligning with an individuals’ NDIS Plan, you will assist the participant in accessing a range of supports that suits their needs and improving their health, well-being and participation within the community. Working closely with families, carers and other services you will design, plan and implement a recovery plan that sets capabilities that support people to recognise and take responsibility for their own recovery and wellbeing, defining their goals and aspirations.
You will have a lived experience of mental health or a strong history in working with people with serious and persistent mental health conditions, have the drive to support capacity-building activities for the people you support, a compassionate and collaborative approach to their work, and enjoy finding innovative solutions to complex situations.
