About the Role

This is a new role, reporting to the Director, Safeguarding. You will establish and expand the functions and processes for the Safeguarding Unit.

The purpose of the Project Manager is to develop, implement and manage projects for the Safeguarding team nationally.  This position a 6 month maximum term contract, location is flexible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage the development, planning, execution and delivery of nominated projects 
  • Establish, develop and manage effective working relationships with internal and external clients, agencies and vendors.
  • Assist in the development of quality management initiatives for Safeguarding projects.
  • Identify project risks and mitigation strategies and communicate these as required.
  • Prepare reports for the Board, Executive and the business.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in human services, project management or similar areas.
  • Proven project management experience in high demand environments with sound knowledge of Project Management methodologies and “best practice.”
  • Knowledge of human services policy and practice in Australia.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a range of senior stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategically
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver positive outcomes in project management roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in time management, organisational skills and well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
